We are recruiting a few more volunteers to build the Niagara Health Expo team. Sarah Trudel and James Symons enjoyed their experience in the past as Volunteers on the Niagara Health Expo. and they are joining again to support the fourth annual event. A Brock graduate, James has supported the Expo as a volunteer from the event’s inception in 2014 and will continue this year as the Volunteer Co-ordinator.
Sarah, an Undergraduate Student, Medical Sciences at Brock University, joined the Expo as a volunteer in 2016 and is looking forward to the experience this year. We are also happy to hear Roger Blah and Riya Patel are interested in joining the Expo team which needs a few more members to cover a schedule of activities.
Volunteers will play a vital role at the fourth annual Expo to be held on October 21 at the Hotel Dieu Shaver Health and Rehabilitation Centre in St. Catharines. Volunteers are starting to sign up for the Niagara Health Expo and more members are welcome to join the team.
The volunteer experience at the Expo is great for high school, college and university students pursuing health related studies. They can meet with potential employers and learn about the various health care professions. Connecting with the community is very important to future success.
Collaboration is the key to the success for the Niagara Health Expo as doctors, healthcare providers, media partners, and volunteers work together to produce the event. Free admission and free parking for all Expo visitors is made possible thanks to local sponsors such as Niagara Prosthetics and Orthotics, Gluckstein Lawyers, Henderson’s Pharmacy, among others.
Anyone interested in volunteering can email James at email@example.com or phone event producer, Paul Carfagnini, 905-328-5296. Snacks will be provided for volunteers and exhibitors. High school students can apply the volunteer experience at the event toward community service hours.
