Speaker Sessions Niagara Health Expo

Expert Speaker Sessions

Six Speaker Sessions were held at the Niagara Health Expo on Saturday, October 20th at the Hotel Dieu Shaver.  The presentations covered an array of healthcare topics to help visitors learn how to live well every day. Expo visitors were able to connect with local healthcare leaders and join a conversation in the interactive sessions.

Discover the importance of screening for breast, cervical and colon cancer as part of a healthy lifestyle, and what these tests involve.
Mammograms can find breast cancers when they are very tiny and easier to treat. Tests for cervical and colon cancer can find signs that these cancers may develop down the road, and treat the signs, so that people never go on to develop those cancers.

The Province provides free, high-quality screening programs for breast, cervical and colon cancer. Mammograms through the Ontario Breast Screening Program can find breast cancer when it’s small and easier to treat. Cervical and Colon cancer screening programs can help to prevent these cancers before they develop. Ask about the Province’s cancer screening programs, and the Mobile Cancer Screening Coach.
