Have you been impressed by healthcare speakers lately?
As the calendar approaches the fall season, our agenda is shaping up with plans for the Speaker Sessions in the Niagara Health Expo to be held on Saturday, October 20th, at the Hotel Dieu Shaver.
Please help us enhance the event plan. Respond directly or share the news on our Call for Speakers. We are impressed with the collaboration by local healthcare leaders to connect with the community on our 5th annual event. Now we need a bit more collaboration. In our search for speakers at the Expo, we are looking for health and wellness experts to make presentations to help enhance the visitor experience.
Speakers at the Niagara Health Expo gain an opportunity to give back to the community. They raise their profile as experts, and develop leads for new patients. If you have a new product, service or advice to offer to the community, please submit a proposal. Good speaker sessions for us would be newsworthy reports or compelling case studies related to healthcare or wellness topics.

As a free community event open to people of all ages, we are aiming to feature presentations that are practical with tangible takeaways for attendees to learn how to live well every day. Typically, we want speaker sessions to run 15 to 20 minutes. Presentations are followed by questions and answers in 5 – 10 minutes.
Topics for Healthcare Speakers
Consider the following topics as a thought-starter for the type of presentations we would expect to feature at the Expo:
- Autism Awareness (learn about one of the fastest growing neurological disorders diagnosed in Canada.)
- Preventing Sexually Transmitted Infections
- Is Medicinal Cannabis Right For You
- Concussion Management / Baseline Concussion Testing
- Solutions for Obesity
- Mental Health Training in the Workplace
Some other topics to consider for speaker sessions could cover presentations related to Addictions Treatments, Cancer, Diabetes, Cardiovascular Disease, Personal Injuries, Mood Disorders, Dementia, Vision Care, Multiple Sclerosis, Lyme Disease.
The Call for Speakers will be open to September 28, 2018. If you have any questions on our Call for Speakers, email us on the Contact page on NiagaraHealthExpo.com. We want to hear from you even if you do not intend to step up as a speaker but would be interested in attending a presentation on a specific topic. We will appreciate your suggestions submitted through our contact form. Please speak up about the Expo!
